The IMCS Co-operative Society has been formed for the purpose of extending micro credit to the members who are unable to access finance from the mainstream banking channels.

The alternate source for such people normally is the private money lenders whose rates of interest ranges anywhere from 30% to upwards of 100%. The Society has been started by a team of very well experienced and knowledgeable professionals with vast experience and complementary skill-set in Micro Financial Services.

Word-of-mouth publicity has indeed proven to be an effective means of advertising for IMCS concerning the Self-Help Group loan scheme, as 1425 active Joint Liability Groups (JLG) have formed under IMCS since the society's birth, a figure that continues to grow.

Our Mission

To make available finance at reasonable cost and in a transparent manner.

IMCS was formed to extend micro credit to members who are unable to access finance from the mainstream banking channels. The alternate source for such people is normally the private money lender, whose rates of interest range anywhere from 30% to upwards of 100%.

We aim to achieve acceptable returns on investment so that we can continuously attract mainstream capital and human resources to better serve our chosen client segments.

Our Vision

Economic empowerment of our members, with a goal to help the poorest of the poor.

We work as an effective and alternative micro finance institution, providing quick and adequate financial assistance, along with technical assistance wherever necessary, for income generating activities of members from the poor, middle and lower middle class. IMCS mobilizes unemployed, poor and underprivileged people, especially women, through the SHG movement.

Community Impact

Why inclusive finance matters

“Microfinance is a tool to eradicate poverty and create sustainable livelihood support to poor families.”

The poor lack access to credit rather than unaffordable terms. Banks require stable income, prefer few large loans and need collateral, so the alternative is often private money lenders charging 30% to upwards of 100%.

Building Asset

Working capital to generate income, build assets and move toward self-reliance.

Supporting Livelihood

Based on the Grameen peer-lending model of the Grameen Bank of Bangladesh.

Micro Enterprises

Promoting micro enterprises in rural areas, where women depend on agriculture and micro/small enterprises.
